Accurate Geological, Geophysical and Geochemical information about the Earth’s lithosphere (comprising the crust and upper mantle) supports both our understanding of the fundamental geological processes and structures, and the manner in which they evolved over time. Research into the properties of the Earth’s structures and materials is supported by large and complex datasets. Access to these interoperable datasets allows for the continued advancement of Solid Earth research. Appropriate research infrastructure supports data discovery, publication and access to software tools for simulation and modelling.
