The School of Humanities is one of the foundation Schools of the University. With over fifty staff it has a long tradition of research and teaching excellence in fields as diverse as creative writing and literature, film and television, history, Islamic studies, journalism and public relations, media studies, and sociology. Many of the school's staff are renowned internationally for their research, and they bring their expertise to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs on campus and on-line, as well as research higher degrees. Our undergraduate programs all have strong internship components, in line with the School's commitment to linking its students with global communities. This includes the distinctive and innovative social enterprise stream in the Bachelor of Arts.From our research projects through to our globally recognised programs, the School of Humanities combines traditional and emerging fields of study with a commitment to making a diffference in the world.
