Brief description

The population health program reflects the overarching definition of public health coined by Sir Donald Acheson in 1988 as being 'the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting, protecting and improving health through the organised efforts of society'.

Our 16 members come from a wide range of disciplines include health economics, public health, environmental planning, primary care, medicine, mental health and psychology. Research activities include the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative survey data, the analysis of administrative datasets, economic evaluation of health care interventions, health care financing priority, evaluation of health services and health policy, GIS studies and knowledge translation
