Full description

Variables derived from the 2006 Australian Census of Population and
Housing representing the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population
living in statistical local areas.

& sex, family & household structure, housing tenure, ethnicity/race, religious
affiliation, residential stability/mobility, digital divide, engagement in work, occupation,
industry of work, human capital, income, and social capital. The dataset also includes location
quotients comparing each variable's local value against the national benchmark for that variable.
The human capital data includes variables measuring percentage change for the periods 1996 to 2001,
2001 to 2006, and 1996 to 2006.
