Investigators used a semi-structured questionnaire to guide three sets of 11 interviews with water industry practitioners (33 interviews in total). Interviews were conducted before and after technology transfer workshops, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the workshops in increasing awareness and perceptions regarding the ability to provide recycled water and the role science plays in informing risk perceptions. Interviews were then repeated 12 months after the initial study to determine whether there had been a long-term shift in attitudes and increased uptake of the emerging monitoring methods. Interviews were audio-recorded in mp3 format and professionally transcribed.
